The situation

The Israeli Ministry of Health recognized the significance of enhancing its information assets and making them accessible to the public in order to facilitate informed decision-making at both a strategic and operational level, specifically to combat the spread of the corona virus and improve the overall health of Israeli residents. To achieve this, the Ministry developed a user-friendly platform for publishing daily, nationwide, and aggregated summary data about the corona virus in a de-identified format.

‍The team

As I entered this project, I was the solo designer and my partner was Ofer Tabach (Product Manager and Data Visualization Expert). Ofer was in a continuous communication with the Ministry of health’s BI team.

Ofer and I would work together to understand the issue, and he would provide visual solutions to meet the need. We would then discuss and agree on the best approach. If there was any disagreement, I would suggest alternative solutions and highlight any potential challenges. Once the design was approved by Ofer, we would present it to the client for review. This process would repeat for each feature.

We also created the dashboard in dark mode

Design approach

In general, when designing a product, I prioritize productivity, speed, and technical accuracy above all. This helps ensure scalability and reduces the risk of bugs and gaps in development, making it easier for other designers to continue the work. To achieve these goals, we switched to Figma and established a comprehensive Design System. This streamlined our process and reduced the time it takes to deliver designs to clients. Whether starting from scratch, making quick adjustments during client meetings, or incorporating feedback, our approach enables us to efficiently design and add new features.

Designed for both Hebrew and English
